Wastewater treatment in the Region of Murcia

The Region of Murcia’s Water Treatment Council (Esamur) awarded Sacyr the operation, maintenance and service contract for lot 9, Altiplano de Murcia. This lot includes the Yecla, Jumilla and Raspay plants, as well as the Las Teresas wastewater pumping station.

In total, the lot has a design flow of 20,000 cubic meters per day and a 6,800-km long water treatment network. The plants are equipped with the following technologies: activated sludge, extended aeration, coagulation, flocculation, sand filter and ultraviolet disinfection.
