The Junta de Andalucía awarded Sacyr the project for the adaptation and commissioning of the Cuevas de Almanzora Drinking Water Treatment Plant.
This improvement project on the DWTP is designed to achieve a 1,480 m3/h water stream allowing to improve both water quality and supply.
Over the next 12 months Sacyr will upgrade the plant’s pre-treatment, electricity, and control systems. Sacyr will also undertake rehabilitation works on the intake structure, the installation of new valves, two 21-cm diameter decanters for sludge recirculation and four double sand filters.
As to continually improve the DWTP infrastructure, this project includes the development of a new sludge treatment facility, the replacement the reverse osmosis nanofiltration plant and the construction of a new building for blowers, dewatering, and sludge storage.
